A piece of software developedDaviworks that is compatible for computers using Vista to Windows 10. It will also work on Mac computers. It enables you to be a lot more creative with your knitting machine turning graphics into stitches or allowing you to create your own patterns. The downside is that at present it will only work with Brother models KH‑930, 940, 950i, 965i, and 970. You need to purchase a cable and you can use the software for free but you can only programme up 60 stitches wide. This is good foe designing patterns but you will need to purchase the registration key if you want to use graphics across all of the 200 stitches. The price of the registration key is $94 ex tax which is about £75. The cable is $50 (£40) but included on their website is a tutorial on how to make your own.
Below are some useful links that will help to explain this software. These were taken from YouTube. Firstly using img2track to create a lace pattern by Knitalo and secondly using the photo manipulating free software GIMP 2.8 which is most popular with machine knitted graphics by Itmakesyousmile.
